Neoplastic tissue transfiguration in vivo by recombinant human transforming growth factor-β3

چکیده
Human oral squamous cell carcinomas (hSCCs) are the most common head and neck cancers now presenting with more aggressive biological clinical features due to smoking alcohol together widespread viremia. Transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) proteins powerful morphogens that induce rapid substantial induction of endochondral bone formation but in primates only.

A Macroporous Bioreactor Super Activated by the Recombinant Human Transforming Growth Factor-β3
Macroporous single phase hydroxyapatite (HA) and biphasic HA/β-tricalcium phosphate with 33% post-sinter hydroxyapatite (HA/β-TCP) were combined with 25 or 125 μg recombinant human transforming growth factor-β3 (hTGF-β(3)) to engineer a super activated bioreactor implanted in orthotopic calvarial and heterotopic rectus abdominis muscle sites and harvested on day 30 and 90. Coral-derived calcium...
متن کاملNonneoplastic Human Kidney Tissue Growth Factor Receptor Messenger RNA in Neoplastic and and Epidermal α Expression of Transforming Growth Factor
Using Northern blot analysis, we have demonstrated that mRNA for transforming growth factor a (TGF-a) was expressed in five malignant kidney tissue specimens but was not detected in their autologous nonneoplastic homologues. In addition, the expression of epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor mRNA in these malignant tissues was 2to 3-fold greater than in nontransformed tissues. In two cases ex...
متن کاملTransforming growth factor α immunoreactivity. A study in hepatocellular carcinoma and in non-neoplastic liver tissue.
BACKGROUND Transforming growth factor alpha (TGFα) is an important mitogen that binds to epidermal growth factor receptor and is associated with the development of several tumors. AIMS Assessment of the immunoexpression of TGFα in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and in non-neoplastic liver tissue and its relationship to morphological patterns of HCC. MATERIAL AND METHODS The immunohistochemi...
متن کاملCo-expression of recombinant human nerve growth factor with trigger factor chaperone in E. coli
Nerve growth factor (NGF) is a neurotrophic factor that is functional in the survival, maintenance and differentiation of nervous system cells. This protein has three subunits, of which the beta subunit has the main activity. Its structure consists of a cysteine knot motif made up of beta strands linked by disulfide bonds. It can be used as a therapeutic agent in the treatment of many diseases....
متن کاملThe induction of endochondral bone formation by transforming growth factor-β3: experimental studies in the non-human primate Papio ursinus
Transforming growth factor-beta(3) (TGF-beta(3)), a multi-functional growth modulator of embryonic development, tissue repair and morphogenesis, immunoregulation, fibrosis, angiogenesis and carcinogenesis, is the third mammalian isoform of the TGF-beta subfamily of proteins. The pleiotropism of the signalling proteins of the TGF-beta superfamily, including the TGF-beta proteins per se, are high...
